There aren’t a crazy amount of VR titles on the market right now but a free to play title called Rec Room shows what a community game would be like.
In Rec Room you create your own cartoony avatar and communicate, play and interact with other players from around the world. It’s an experience like none other which is why I want to take the time to talk about my experiences with the game so far!
In this post I’d like to discuss what the future of VR gaming on the PC platform might look like in the future. What kinds of controllers, headsets or scanners will we see?
Right now the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift are the big boys in town. They are the two headsets that everyone is talking about and is aware of but what about other headsets?
Could we be seeing a bunch of VR brands coming out in the near future for PC to compete?
This will be another shorter post, I’ve spent quite a good bit of time with the Vive and soon I wish to write a more in-depth review of it but in short – it’s absolutely amazing.
I didn’t think VR gameplay would be this good, but it just is. I’m super hyped for the future of what the Vive is going to be able to do.
Sure, its current price point is pretty high being a $799 product so not everyone is going to be able to get their hands on it… but if you ever get a chance to test one out yourself I guarantee that you’re going to do everything you can to own one for yourself!
