Today I wanted to share a SADES gaming headset review to get my point of view across on it. It’s a great headset to pick up if you’re on a tight budget!
SADES have created many different headsets but this one is by far their most popular and for good reason. For less than $20 you can get a pretty decent quality headset which actually competes with some of the more expensive ones out there on the market.
With that, let’s get to the review.
Product: SADES SA-708 Stereo Gaming Headset
Price: $17.99
Cheapest Place To Buy: Amazon.com
Warranty: 1 Year
My Rating: 7.5 out of 10
Best Headset For A Tight Budget?
Although this headset doesn’t have a full 5 star rating on Amazon, the question still remains whether or not this is a good one to pick up for its low price point.
There are a couple of reason why it gets a 7.5 out of 10 from me, which isn’t a bad rating really, but it could obviously be a bit higher.
When you go to slide the headset size to adjust your head, it doesn’t really seem too sturdy.
They sort of slide in and out without much pressure towards it and for me personally I’d rather want something that is going to be stiff like my Plantronics headset does.
It also has to be used with the 3.5mm audio jack and a mic jack as well. I’d rather have something that only used USB, more so because my desktops audio and mic jacks don’t work properly, but it sure would be better to have a USB connection that does it all.
Just about everything else about this headset is spot on though, especially for the price that you pay. You aren’t going to find another one that is less than $20 that provides the amount of value that this one provides.
Again, if you’re going to be low on cash for a good bit then this is probably a valid choice for you.

Everything Else Makes It Good To Go
Let’s talk about the things SADES did right for this headset.
First off, these have a really nice cushion to them which are going to feel comfortable if you’re a gamer that plays for like 6+ hours straight.Although they need to be broken in at first, the cushions are extremely comfortable.
The mic is not only a high quality mic but it is also very easily adjusted. You can snap it straight up when not in use and it’s easy to get it back in an optimal position so that your voice can be heard.
Some reviews on Amazon say that the mic is low quality but honestly I think that those reviews are the result of someone not having a good mic jack for their PC.
As I said earlier, mine aren’t working properly so this wouldn’t really be the headset for me since it relies on those audio and mic jacks.
Another cool part of this headset is that it can be used outside of the realm of a PC. You can use it for your phone or any other media player that has a 3.5mm audio jack, which is pretty much all of them. Since the audio is of pretty good quality, it might become a valid option for your everyday music use as well.
I also really dig how it has a unique look about it. Something about its style keeps people looking at it and I think it’s because it looks as good as it does for its low price point.
You’ve also got a controller for the mic. You’re able to adjust volume settings and whether or not you’re muted with the controller that’s down the wire.
This is nice for those that need to constantly mute the mic for people or situations where you get bothered from gaming here and there and also being able to control the volume in a simple way is a nice touch.
Surprisingly enough, when it comes to the overall audio of this headset, it actually provides a really decent level of bass. When you really look at it for what it is, a cheap headset, it still packs a lot of features and quality behind it.
Now it might not be some crazy Dolby surround sound type of a deal, but I’d be pretty interested to see how much SADES is able to actually manufacture this for because that low of a price for the quality is a bit crazy to me!
To Conclude
All in all, if you’re looking for something cheaper on the side of a gaming headset then this one by SADES is definitely the way to go.
It provides pretty good levels of audio while also giving some features towards controlling the mic and comfortability. Everything that a gamer looks for in a headset.
So, what do you like about it?
Are you going to be picking one up since it’s so cheap?

So, how does the “DLAND Isolation Gaming Headset”(http://amzn.to/2cud4xq), compare to this one? Which should be better in sound stuff, comfort, and other important stuff? It doesn’t cost to much more at this current time, and it looks a bit better to me, so I was wondering how they compare.
Hey AnyOtherWay,
All in all, they’re both going to do just fine for a decent sound experience based on the specs. I’ve never used the DLAND headset but it seems to be made of quality, good reviews and some videos as well have shown that it’s made nicely. I like the cord material better… it’s up to you but personally that DLAND headset seems like a good all around as well.
Thanks! So I should be fine to go with the DLAND? Which would you recommend, though? And are there any other Black/Blue headsets for about that price frame that you could also recommend? More choices is always nice.
I’d recommend which one resonates with you more. Sounds like in a different comment that you decided to go with the SADES?
Actually, in another post I said I wasn’t sure… I’ll figure out when I order the stuff near the end of the month.
Yo, man! I’m looking for a solid microphone for recording video voice-overs and the like, but I’ve already got a solid pair of earbuds and decent headphones. Got any recommendations for a fairly high quality microphone for cheap?
Hey John!
I usually just use the mic on my headphones and it’s good enough for chatting with friends and what not, I’m not really sure what makes a microphone good or bad if I’ve got to be honest… though I found a few mics on Amazon that look decent enough?
What a great review thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on it (:
Thanks Jeremy! 🙂
This headset is extremely ideal for those on a lower budget point. It may be missing some of the features that higher quality headsets have but for those looking for something that simply gets the job done with sound and mic, this is it.
