How Much Faster Is A SSD Compared To A HDD?

So many people have been asking me lately about SSDs and really how much faster they are in comparison to a normal hard drive. I’ve experienced both of them!

When it comes to booting up your operating system and getting the fastest load times in your games, SSDs are definitely the way to go. When it comes to saving money for extra storage, HDDs are the way to go.

It really comes down to how much you’re willing to pay and how badly you want some super fast boot times when you press the power button on your PC.

Stronghold Crusader Is Still Amazing

If you’ve never heard of Stronghold Crusader before then trust me, you’re missing out on one of the best PC games ever made. It’s definitely a classic!

Did You Use A Micro ATX Board?

Most of the builds that I share here use a micro ATX motherboard to save on the cash amount. When it comes to having the lowest price build possible, 9 times out of 10 you’ll be using a micro ATX to save a good bit of cash.

It works just fine, I used a micro ATX board with my first build and moved up to an ATX board when I wanted to make a new PC for myself. I found it less stressful for little things such as using the PCIe slot for an adapter and plugging in the USB slots and buttons into the correct prongs. Little parts like that are easier with a bigger board.

Intel CPU VS AMD CPU, Which One Reigns Champ?

In the everlasting battle of the Intel CPU vs the AMD CPU, which one reigns champ in your eyes? If you’re a PC gamer then you’ve got a strong opinion on one!

You’ve got the more widely trusted Intel brand which has an immense amount of cash flow to work with to create breakthroughs but you’ve really got to have some cash ready…

Or you’ve got the more open source AMD side which allows for a lower priced option for overclocking to higher performance levels…

If you’re even slightly involved with the PC gaming industry then you’ve definitely got a strong opinion on one over the other.

Keep in mind, this post is about the processors, we’re not talking about graphics at all here. I’d absolutely love to get everyone’s opinions on why one is better than the other!

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Review, The Best RPG of 2015?

I’d like to post my personal review of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt because it’s one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played! If you like slaying monsters then this is your game.

In short, you play as Geralt who is a Witcher. Witchers are people who have special powers called signs which they use to investigate, find and kill monsters that do evil across the land. Some people are afraid of what a witcher can really do and it depends on how you play on what your intentions really are…

CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA880 Review, Does It Live Up To Today’s Standards?

It’s time for a CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA880 review for many don’t think it is of good enough value for the price. I’ll do the hard work for you.

I’d like to analyze the actual hardware included with this desktop, really to dive deep into it to really see what it’s capable of.

Just like most pre-built gaming computers, the video card isn’t at all ready for today’s standard of gaming – mainly for the AAA titles which is the type of games most people really want to play.

Most people nowadays also have at least a 1080p resolution display that they want to game with. With this desktop as is, 1080p would be doable but only for small indie titles. You’d have to play on 720p and probably even lower if you’re wanting to play the newer games on lowest settings.

With that, let’s get to the review.

What Is Legend of Grimrock 2 About? A Modern Yet Old School RPG

Legend of Grimrock 2 is an amazing sequel to the first one, but what is it all about? The first game had an immersive story… the sequel is even better.

The sequel kept the same controls, fighting system and what not as the first game had with a few big changes thrown in. There are more classes, there’s a new race to add to your party and the game world is an actual game world!

The first game was just one big dungeon to get through with a Steam workshop full of other dungeons. This 2nd one is one big map which is an outdoor map along with different dungeons all around. I am thoroughly enjoying this one more than the 1st game… there’s just so much more to do and to see!

Is Rainbow Six: Siege A Good PC Game? Here’s My Take On It

There are many PC gamers that are debating whether or not Rainbow Six: Siege is worthy of being a good PC game. I see the good, but I can also see the bad.

The gameplay is very fun and the community is really awesome. If you tell someone to wait so that you can set up your breach charge, they’ll actually wait. Almost everyone understands that Siege is about the strategy, not how many people you can kill or how fast you can kill them.

On the other side, you HAVE to launch this game through Uplay.

Some people don’t mind this, but come on. I shouldn’t have to launch a game through two different game launchers in order to actually play it. Steam is enough and they’ve mastered the simplicity behind launching a game that you own, Ubisoft shouldn’t have to butt in with their own form of Steam. Also, Ubisoft’s servers aren’t really the best but they are doable.

My PC Build Dream, I’ve Been Waiting Years For This Day!

So last night I finished building the PC build of my DREAMS, it’s everything I’ve ever wanted and then some. I was able to use some old parts which helped out!

Scavenging some parts from my old PC build was nice but I wanted to make sure that most everything was going to be new. I got a new case, a new video card, a much better processor and I added a solid state drive to it as well.

This is the first time I’ve been able to actually experience 60 fps on max settings with some games and it’s my first time experiencing the speed of a SSD. Let’s get right to it! 🙂
