Differences Between Dungeon Defenders & Dungeon Defender II

Recently some friends of mine got me to check out the sequel to Dungeon Defenders, a multiplayer tower defense game that was extremely fun a while back.

Dungeon Defenders II has been in early access for a very long time now and there have been a lot of additions to it since then. There are a decent amount of differences between the two and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to list the good and the bad changes from the previous game.

HP Pavilion 22CWA Review, Is It A Monitor For 1080p Gaming?

hp pavilion 22cwa review

It’s time to review the HP Pavilion 22CWA monitor to see if it’d be a suitable choice for PC gaming. There is more to a monitor than what its max resolution is!

Many other factors such as the pixel response, refresh rate and what not must also be known and understood before diving straight into the first good deal that you lay your eyes on. Just because it’s a 1080p screen for around $100 doesn’t mean that it’s a good one.

With that, let’s get to the review.

Blackwake Early Access Review, A Pirate Game Done Right

I’d like to review a game called Blackwake that has released as an early access title recently, it’s a pirate game that’s aiming to be as realistic as possible.

There is still a pretty long road ahead for the title to become the best version that it could be but if the developers keep trekking along as they are today then Blackwake could prove to become one of the best if not the best multiplayer pirate game out there.

PC Gaming And Modding, Is It Necessary?

I would say that no, modding is not an essential part to a game’s success. However, having a dedicated modding community proves in several titles that it boosts player count and overall enjoyment.

Anytime I’ve played a game that I enjoy at a vanilla state and then added mods after playing for a while it adds another layer of value to the game and it heavily increases the replay value.

If You Enter The Gungeon You Won’t Leave For A While

Recently I decided to pick up Enter The Gungeon, a dungeon crawler title that has been on my wish list for the longest time.

I’ve always enjoyed dungeon crawlers and rouge like games. ā€œRouge likeā€ is a sub-genre for games that have procedurally generated levels as you go along. Although the different room you enter in the Gungeon aren’t necessarily procedurally generated, there are plenty for it to feel extremely random.

Enter The Gungeon reminds me a lot of Rouge Legacy but with guns and a top-down view. When you die, you don’t come back with that same character and items/weapons but there is indeed a way to beat the Gungeon!

How Good Games Can Turn Into Great Games

There is one main factor that keeps games fresh and keeps people coming and that is the content. The more content you produce in a game, the better it gets.

For the most part I feel like most gamers want to have that sense of freshness, a new taste with the games that they pick up on a consistent basis.

I want to elaborate a bit on what I mean by this and also talk about some examples that I’ve noticed around the block, let’s get some discussion going!

Do You Use Controller Or Mouse And Keyboard?

This post will be a short one to simply hear what you guys prefer and when you prefer a certain type of control scheme.

While I was playing through the For Honor open beta I was using the controller 100% of the way through, I also use the controller while playing one of my favorite games Brawlhalla.

But I’ll use mouse and keyboard for other titles. It really depends on what type of game it is that I’m playing!
